In any case the Thorens TD 240-2 keeps technically as well as sonically what its noble outfit is promising. This record player features a precision-ground belt, an electronically controlled D/C motor and comes equipped with the new high-grade tonearm TP 19-1. Owing to the increased mass respectively weight of 18.7 lbs as well as to the suspended chassis, the entire drive system runs extraordinarily smooth and thus supporting the exemplary sound. The speed selector can be set to 33, 45 and 78 rpm and hence can be considered an interesting tool for all friends of vintage shellac records.
