The Thorens 800 range offers equipment featuring all the legendary Thorens characteristics. At the heart of all three models is the completely maintenance-free silent-run bearing. Its highly polished stainless steel axle has a bearing point in the form of a ball and runs in two maintenance-free bushings. The AC synchronous motor is controlled by a separate electronic motor drive unit. The output signal is generated completely independently from the main power supply. This considerably improves wow and flutter, even if the main source is low quality and marred by interference.

Features:

• A 3/4" thick chassis made from highdensity wood forms the basis of the TD 800.
• Three height-adjustable and dampened feet effectively decouple and isolate the unit.
• The 6.5 lb alloy platter is belt-driven and vibration-dampened.
• The TD 800 comes standard with a Thorens TP 250 tone arm with a vertical tracking alignment system that is fully adjustable to accommodate any phono cartridge.

The TD 800 has a 19 mm MDF plinth, 25 mm thick aluminum platter over 4 kg and a TP 250 tonearm.

The TD 810 in comparison to the TD 800 has a 19 mm MDF plinth with is glued additionally to a 5 mm thick aluminium plate.

The TD 850 has a sandwich construction made of two 19 mm MDF plates and a 15 mm steel plate,  a 25 mm thick aluminum platter over 4 kg, and the tonearm TP 300.
