The Cardas Clear Beyond speaker cable surpasses the entire previous Clear series and is set in a new dimension. It is, so to speak, a double Clear, elaborately equipped with PFA tube stabilisers and 8 inner conductor strands with a diameter of 2.8 mm each. The latter consist - as found in all Cardas cables - of individually lacquered strands that are wound axially in opposite directions around a central core. The diameter naturally increases with each additional winding. Ultimately, the result is a cross-connected 8-axis construction.
During production, the cable passes through the winding machines 70 times until all layers are finally joined together. For a pair of cables, 2 whole working days of an experienced Cardas specialist are planned.
The Beyond can also relentlessly pass on fierce power drives to the loudspeakers and produces a room and sound fullness even above the clear. Due to the multi-layered internal construction, the cable can be classified in the bi-wiring mode even slightly above 2 separate Clear speaker cables.
Terminierungsoptionen:
Das CLEAR Beyond kommt mit kaltgeschweißten Anschlüssen. Es stehen 6-mm- und 9-mm-Kabelschuhe, Magnepan-Pins und Bananas zur Auswahl. Diese bestehen aus geschmiedetem Kupfer, das zuerst versilbert wird und anschließend eine leichte Rhodiumbedampfung gegen Oxidation erhält. Achtung: Dieser Anschlusstyp leitet hervorragend, verbiegt jedoch mechanisch einfacher als Anschlüsse mit einem Messingkern. Da das Kabel selbst ein hohes Eigengewicht hat, ist häufig der Kabelschuh die intelligentere Wahl.
Das CLEAR Beyond Speaker kann auch als Bi-Wiring-Variante mit separaten Innenleitern für Bass und Mittelhochton gefertigt werden. Hierbei empfiehlt es sich, die Kombination aus Kabelschuh und Banana an der Lautsprecherseite zu verwenden, um auch einen Single-Wiring-Lautsprecher perfekt ansteuern zu können.
