Compared to Quintet Red, the Ortofon Quintet Blue cartridge reproduces a softer sound, and compared to Quintet Bronze, a reasonable tonal distinction is noticeable. A naked elliptical diamond is placed on an aluminium cantilever. Space, depth and detail are integrated into the sound - every genre of music, but especially rhythmic styles, are very well represented by Quintet Blue.
The ST-7 transformer harmonises perfectly with Quintet Blue, and the LH-4000 head is highly recommended.
