Pro-Ject Xtension 9 Evolution turntable, a powerful-sounding turntable and tonearm ensemble in the high-end class.
The Pro-Ject Xtension 9 Evolution is a turntable of superlatives, equipped with a 9" high-end 9cc Evolution tonearm from the factory. More than a quarter of a century of know-how pays off here. The chassis is made of metal granulate-filled MDF, which minimises self-resonance and increases mass. Furthermore, the 16kg massive turntable stands on magnetic feet and is thus effectively decoupled from its footprint. The precisely balanced and heavy platter of the Pro-Ject Xtension 9 Evolution was developed from a special cast metal alloy, which is TPE-damped and covered with a recycled vinyl record as a mat. The bearing is mounted on a magnet-assisted bearing which slides on ceramic and is therefore absolutely resonance- and rumble-free.
The Pro-Ject Xtension 9 Evolution comes with the top-of-the-line 9cc Evolution tonearm. This exclusive tonearm guarantees a flawless musical experience.
Pro-Ject supplies its high-end turntables with premium 5pin>RCA tonearm cables as standard.
On request, you can also get your turntable with balanced premium 5pin>XLR tonearm cables. This ensures an optimal connection to phono preamplifiers, e.g. Pro-Ject Phono Box RS. The balanced connection type offers superior vinyl playback with balanced sources.
Attention: in order to be able to use the excellent quality of balanced signal transmission, it is essential that both devices to be connected have balanced connections!
