Cardas Cygnus Phono

The Cardas CLEAR Cygnus phono cable is equipped with four inner conductors (quad-axial construction), plays pleasantly detailed without sounding bright.

The CLEAR Cygnus uses a quad-axial design with four inner conductors held in place by PFA tubing. The inner conductors in turn consist of multi-layered, lacquered individual strands wound in opposite directions around a Kevlar yarn. These strands are arranged in their size ratio to each other and to the insulators surrounding them - as is customary at Cardas - in the golden section. The CLEAR Cygnus is double shielded and yet very flexible. This is especially true for the connection wires to the plugs, which are led out of the cable harness. The phono variant consists of a single strand of the CLEAR Cygnus interconnect with modified termination.

Termination options:

Input side with straight aluminium Cardas DIN connector or 2 x GRMO RCA connectors. Also 90° aluminium Cardas-DIN connector at extra cost.

Special configurations such as 4-PIN-DIN with earthing via the external contact or 5-PIN-DIN with earthing cable separated from the shielding are possible. Output side with 2 RCA plugs as standard. On request also with 2 XLR plugs. Also with rhodium-plated Cardas XLR plugs at extra charge. Earthing separately or on request also at pin 1 of the XLR connectors. On request.
