It is interesting to know that the Xtension 12 Evolution turntable not only incorporates 20 years of experience in the development of turntables, but for the first time there was no limitation of the effort for cost reasons. For example, the Xtension 12 Evolution was equipped with TPE* damped magnetic field feet to mechanically decouple the turntable from its base in a highly effective manner. The two homopolar magnets in the feet of the unit make the turntable float, so to speak. In combination with the stately weight of more than 20 kg, a mechanical impact of the scanning process is almost impossible.

The perfectly balanced turntable consists of a sandwich construction for which a special cast alloy was developed. For a comprehensively resonance-free turntable, the inside of the platter has been brilliantly damped with a Sorbothane® strip. A flat-ground vinyl overlay and a record puck to improve record contact are factory-fitted.

The 12-inch carbon-fibre Pro-Ject 12cc Evolution tonearm is a medium-weight precision tonearm. Equipped with a 5-pole tonearm jack and perfectly suited for MM and MC cartridges. The resonance-optimised tonearm base can be rotated horizontally by 180 degrees to accommodate both 9" and 12" tonearms.

Pro-Ject offers the phono cable Connect it 5P-CC (unbalanced cable) or Connect it 5P-XLR-CC (balanced cable) with a length of 123 cm. Please specify when ordering!

The Pro-Ject Xtension 12 Evolution record player offers fine veneers in mahogany, olive, walnut-rootwood gloss or matt as well as in a black piano lacquer finish.
