Thorens TD 1601

The Thorens TD 1601 is the logical evolution of the TD 1600 with improved user-friendliness.

A wood proven chassis, a two-piece tray with an inner belt and a thick rubber mat, as well as a meticulously controlled motor, a base plate for the tonearm and an acrylic cover complete this plate.

The three subframe springs are not hooked to the top panel, but to the floor. A steel wire under tension in the extended line Motor Coil - Axis plate Prevents latteral oscillations and Vibrates the Piston Subframe - Even During Start-up when Engine Power Reaches its Maximum Value and the belt pulls on the axis of the plate.

An electric lift that can be operated at the push of a button, a touchless limit switch and balanced outputs complete the nearly perfect functions of this TD 1601.
