The mighty, seemingly glassy chassis has a hydrodynamic platter bearing with hydraulic weight relief inside, which supports the accurately flat-ground 60 mm high platter. The special running stability of the satin-finished platter is perfected by the inverted suspension of the upper part of the bearing, and undesirable pendulum movements are eliminated. In addition, a magnetic field coupling is embedded in the TMD bearing.

The oil in the fixed lower part of the bearing is conveyed directly to the upper end of the axle by a specially designed screw conveyor. The resulting pressure relieves the ceramic ball located at the tip of the axle. At the same time, unwanted metal contact at the side guide of the bearing axle is prevented.
