Audio Technica AT-ART9XI

The new Audio Technica AT-ART9XI dual moving coil stereo cartridge replaces the flagship AT-ART9 MC cartridge.

Audio Technica has further developed the well-known and extremely popular AT-ART9 cartridge and presents the successor model AT-ART9XI. Especially with its line-contact needle including boron needle carrier, the new AT-ART9XI takes over the MC cartridge with magnetic coil core that is famous among Audio Technica. Only the premium models from Audio Technica have the type designation "ART", which stands for "Audio-Technica-Reference Transducer". This is a transducer of the reference class and can only be found in the premium models. The magnetic circuit designed for this purpose shows an output voltage of 0.5mV (1kHz, 5cm/s). With this output voltage, a pick-up can be integrated in the best possible way and thus enables an excellent fine-drawing reproduction of the sound signal with equally brilliant dynamics.

Also worth mentioning is the simple installation, which can be easily carried out thanks to the threaded hole in the pick-up housing. Regardless of whether it is mounted on an exchangeable headshell or on an adapted tonearm.
