The AudioTechnica VM 540 ML / H cartridge features a MicroLine ™ diamond tip and an AT-HS10 pre-assembled cartridge holder.

The AudioTechnica VM 540 ML cartridge is equipped with a MicroLine ™ diamond, this diamond shape provides a high frequency response with less wear and distortion than elliptical or conventional tips.

AudioTechnica's patented dual magnet design principle is based on vinyl record reproduction.

Instead of a single large magnet, two V-shaped magnets are precisely aligned to accurately scan the right and left channels of the sides of the stereo groove. In this way, a VM system provides exceptional channel separation, extended frequency response, and superior sampling capacity.

Para Toroid coils improve the efficiency of the generator and provide outstanding linearity, since only a small part of the magnetic flux can escape due to the continuous symmetrical design of the magnetic circuit (parasitic flux), in addition, the permeability of the magnetic cores is optimized by the stratified core structure.


Medium shielding plate for reduced crosstalk

The central permalloy shielding plate allows efficient separation of the left and right channels and eliminates electrical crosstalk up to 40 dB. This corresponds approximately to the actual crosstalk values ​​of a recording groove.
