Ortofon 2M Blue

This MM Ortofon 2M Blue cartridge is the ideal cartridge for vinyl lovers value for money.

The philosophy of Ortofon is to restore as accurate as possible the sound recorded on the disc, without coloring or deforming the sound.

The new 2M series is the result of a long quest to obtain a mobile magnet cartridge with very high performance, both in terms of the response curve and the level of musicality. The name 2M comes from the MM of Mobile Magnet. The design was entrusted to Copenhagen's Møller Jensen Design, the same designer who designed the Kontrapunkt series.

The 2M Blue uses a bare elliptical diamond. 2M technology is based on a split magnet magnetic motor to reduce eddy currents. This makes it possible to obtain an extremely flat response curve. The quality of this magnetic assembly gives it a remarkable sensitivity of 5.5mV.

This cartridge is available in three versions, 2M Blue, 2M Blue Verso and 2M Blue PNP MKII.
