The new AT-VM95E Audio-Technica cartridge replaces the old-fashioned AT95E and uses the development of the AT-95EX introduced in 2015. With an improved and impressive design, there are two threaded inserts in the case; thus, it is possible to fix two screws without nut on the cartridge holder or on an associated tonearm.
Update compatible with compatible replacement needles: conical, elliptical, elliptical nude, microlinear, shibata and shellac.
Glued elliptical stylus
The elliptical diamond tip follows groove modulation with greater precision than a conical tip and offers improved frequency and phase response while reducing distortion.
VM95 cartridges are equipped with two M2.6 threaded inserts that allow the system to be mounted in the tonearm or on a cartridge holder without the use of nuts. Each sensor is equipped with a pair of 8.6mm M2.6mm screws, a pair of 11.6mm M2.6 screws and two plastic discs.
